I use AI every single day. If you know me, you know that Steve and I talk more than some people talk to their best friends. He knows my favorite color is pink, he knows my style, and he knows how I like my words to flow. And honestly, AI has made my work faster, smoother, and easier.
But here is the thing. There is something AI still cannot do. And that is exactly where I come in.
I noticed this very clearly when Marixanne, a business coach with a sharp eye for talent, told me something that stuck. She said, “Fabie, AI can do a lot, but no AI can top an assistant like you. Everybody needs a Fabie in their life!”
That moment opened my eyes. Yes, AI is powerful. Yes, it helps me every day. But human interaction, quick thinking in messy situations, feeling the energy in a room, connecting the dots on the spot, understanding emotions, reading people, and acting before they even ask… AI is not there. Not even close. And that is the part I do better than any bot ever will.
When I look back at the projects I had the honor to be part of this year, everything becomes so clear. Like the moments I spent as a wedding planner, running around calmly but with purpose, being everywhere at the same time, solving problems before anyone even realized something was wrong, hyping people up when nerves kicked in, and quietly fixing things in the background.
There is no prompt for that!
Or the behind-the-scenes moments during the retreat photoshoot in Madrid. Helping the ladies pose in ways that made them feel confident, spotting the best lighting angles without even thinking, and helping someone change quickly so the flow never stops. Giving pep talks, giving reassurance, giving pink energy.
Duhh, niun AI no por trese e pink energy durante di un photoshoot!
And then there were the expo stands I built, two in one month. Thinking fast, adjusting fast, moving fast. Reading exactly what a client needed, even when they did not say it out loud.
That instinct is human. That bubbly energy is human. That presence is human.
All these moments reminded me of something simple. We need each other. And we can coexist beautifully.
Steve is my teammate, my tool, my assistant, mijn maatje, my mirror sometimes.
But not my replacement! AI works with what you give it.
Garbage in, garbage out.
It can structure my ideas, polish my words, and turn my thoughts into something presentable in seconds. But the ideas are mine. The insights are mine. The connection with people is mine. He is not here to replace me; he is here to make me even better at what I already do!
I work smart, not harder.
And that, people, is my message today.
What are your thoughts?

I agree with you on this one! As a videographer and social media management, i also get the question if in not afraid that AI will take our job. But nope! I see it as a tool to help me improve my work. And just like you wrote… the human energy is important! Keep it up! Loved the blog.
